WordPress @ Western

WordPress has landed at Western! WebTech and ATUS have partnered to bring the popular web publishing platform, WordPress, to everyone at Western. This new tool is geared to anyone wishing to create personal blogs, portfolios, or websites. WebTech is also deploying WordPress as a solution for non-academic department sites.

The goal of providing WordPress as a service is to allow easy content creation. No longer do you need a Dreamweaver license; you only need a web browser such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer. Sites created with the service do need to adhere to WWU’s WordPress Terms of Service.

Get started by logging into the WordPress website and name your first site. You can create as many sites as you desire and can always export the site to take with you if you depart Western. Your site will default to the Western Theme, read this post for a quick overview of how to best use the theme.
