Microsoft Office 2016 & Windows 10

Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac and Windows has been released. Compatibility with all enterprise features is being tested. Faculty and staff Mac users are encouraged to update university-owned workstations due to the many improvements over Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac. Windows users can also upgrade, but the changes are not as significant.

IBM SPSS Statistics & SPSS AMOS

The IBM SPSS Statistics Academic Site License Subscription is in progress and new authorization codes will be available before the end of June. Please disregard any notices that the license will expire within 30 days. Next year, IBM SPSS Statistics 22 & 23 will be available for instruction and academic research.

AutoDesk – Good News/Bad News

Good news from AutoDesk is a new program providing free software for academic use. Thanks to a request from Professor Dipu Gupta, Theatre Arts, Western now has an AutoDesk Academic Resource Center (ARC) account for downloading Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, for no charge!

Computer Lab Reservation Requests & Scheduled Software Upgrades

Please make requests for summer and fall computer lab reservations as soon as possible to get the best space possible for your needs. You can request a general university lab reservation using the Request a Reservation online form on the ATUS Computer Labs page. Also use this form to request special software to be installed. Please make special software requests for computer labs no later than finals week of the preceding quarter.
